Little Bits: A Few Days Down
11:06 AM
My instagram feed is becoming filled with everything autumn, and we haven't even hit the peak of the season here in Michigan! That is fine by me, I live for this time of year. We packed in a few fall activities over the weekend, but also took some time to relax for once.
Friday we headed out to M Brew in Ferndale to celebrate all of the October birthdays! Our friend Dan's was on the 3rd, Kyle and Brian are celebrating today (happy birthday, Kyleface!), and mine is on the 20th. We had some beers and yummy pizza, played some pinball before heading out to our usual watering hole, Sneakers. It was fun because a few of our old friends managed to sneak out of the house for the night, as well as some new ones. A few of us also made some fall baked goods to bring along, because who doesn't go to the bar without cupcakes, cookies, and brownies? Oh wait.
Saturday, Kyle and I decided to sleep in, then just spend the day together since we haven't in ages. We started off with pumpkin spice lattes from Biggby (they keep giving us coupons when we go in there, little shits), then sat in traffic for a million years before we finally made it to Eastern Market. We went a little crazy at the farmers market, because all of the autumn produce was out and ready. We even bought more mums that we need to plant. and of course cider. Then we headed to La Gloria bakery in Mexicantown, and bought waaaay too many baked goods. After that, Kyle kept his promise and we headed out to IKEA in Canton, and we got a new shelf, as well as a bunch of random little things that we probably didn't really need.
We came home early and parked our butts on the couch to catch up on Sleepy Hollow, Doctor Who, and New Girl, while cuddling with the pups (AKA I was cuddling with Louie and Joseph on the sofa, and Kyle was banished to the chair).
Sunday we slept in again, then decided to clean up around the house before heading out to run a few errands. We came home and I started a bunch of batch cooking: Potato and leak soup, pesto, goulash, veggie broth, and I have some tomato sauce that I need to finish jarring up. Between all of this, and all of the coupons for free birthday dinners we have this month, we will be feasting like kings!
I am excited for the outfit posts I have coming up, Kyle was nice enough to drive around looking for nice, fall backdrops for two of my outfits over the weekend, what a guy, I should marry him, or something ;)
1) Pretty red leaf in Oak Park.
2) Cider at Eastern Market.
3) Tomatoes (that look like mini pumpkins), on sticks.
4) Fucking awesome cookie.
5) Some Halloween decor in the house.
6) Some fall shit outside our house.

Hahaha! I love that Kyle was banished to the chair! I'm the exact same way with my cats and dog - I tell people they need to sit elsewhere because the critters need to be comfy! :P
