Little Bits: Life's Short, Talk Fast
6:57 PM
I think every post pretty much starts out with me talking about the weather, and letting all you lovely readers know how insane life can be at times, well I decided to share some pictures from the past week to help aide in this process. Last week was very eventful as another Astley made it through Ferndale High School and the celebrations that followed were amazing. Sometimes the insanity of life can have a bit of a fun side.
Doesn't David look smart in his cap and gown? The FHS choir sang "Don't stop me now" by Queen and the students did all the speeches, some were quite funny. We all headed to Outback Steakhouse to celebrate which was yummy and a lot of fun. These are the only pictures of David in his cap and gown because he shed them the minute we got into the parking lot.
David had his grad party at his friends house with his best friend Mark. This is a typical day for them, sitting around, eating hotdogs.
We also had fun with my littlest brother Liam, throwing him around and apparently sitting on him. It was 92 degrees out that day! Needless to say, he didn't feel very good by the time we left.
I also managed to take this creepy picture of the twins. And got mauled by my cousin Hayley.
As I mention in the previous post, Kyle and I ran the 2 mile Oak Apple Run in Royal Oak and it was soooo awesome! I even got a little medal for being one of the first 150 people to finish, I was so excited! Two sisters from Kyle's work joined us and we are currently trying to convince Kyle's boss to sponsor us next year, but I am not sure if it will work hehe. I really want to run the 10k next year too. I doubt that I will get a medal for that one, but the thought of being able to finish it seems pretty amazing to me.
Two of our friends, Nicole and Chris, moved back to Michigan this week as well! They had been living in South Dakota for the past two years and now they are finally home. We headed out to City Club in Detroit to meet up with them and some other friends. City Club is a sort-of "goth" nightclub, but as you all know me, I am not really Gothic, but Jamie and I did our best to look spiffy and have fun. It was a lot of fun to just dance around to the fast-music and being with friends is always great so we still managed to enjoy ourselves.
Now I am off to get yummy food with friends with more awesome updates to follow. I am seriously loving life right now <3

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're having so much fun! You're always the optimist even when you're frighteningly busy, but these recent events sound like the best possible reason to be busy. Congrats to your brother. He looks dapper in his cap and gown. And I'm so proud of your 2 mile run. I'm picking up running this summer and you're inspiring.
ReplyDeletePS Thanks for your comment on my farmers market post. Those guitar playing guys were teenagers. There mother picked them up after their "set" so I would've been a cougar to go after them haha
