Victory Park

Here are some beautiful red and yellow leaves from a few weeks ago! Kyle and I drove around to look for some fall shit, and came across this tiny park in Ferndale. Most of the leaves have fallen now, due to the crazy winds we had on Friday, but there are a few colorful trees hanging in there. We have one more month of autumn left, and I am going to make the most of it!
We had a very busy Sunday yesterday. It was full of cleaning, organizing, and laundry. My dad came over and put our chair rail up in the living room, so now it is one step closer to looking like a normal room again. I have to paint the actual rail now, as well as clean up the trim, and do a lot of touching up. Guess what I will be doing all next weekend! It will probably still be awhile before the room is ready, as we have a lot of organizing to do, but still.
I have been wearing this outfit at least once a week lately, I just love it! Fall colors + cozy cardigan = me. Kyle has been pestering me to go thrifting again soon, I think he wants me to find my own old man cardigan so that he can have his back. I actually need to sew a button on this guy, so that means I am holding it hostage until I find a decent button. And because I am a jerk and want to hoard it for myself.
All I can think of right now is tackling everything that we have neglected for the past few weeks: cleaning up dog poop in the yard (fuuuuuuun), pricing out a dyer, returning pop bottles, winterizing the house, and cleaning up the yard. I haven't had the heart to put my hammock away yet, not to mention the picnic table, and the party lights (we know, we are lazy as hell). We did have time to put the giant ass inflatable turkey out that Kyle's mom bought us though. So, priorities.

We still have all of our lawn furniture (cushions included) outside. DENIAL!!! I love your outfit. I have a similar dress and will have to try it with a large cardi and tights!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, I love the scenery! Also in love with that tunic of yours!
ReplyDeleteCute outfit; pretty leaves. BTW, one of our mutual friends was telling me recently (in person) how amused she is at when you express yourself with profanity. She laughs at your honest and entertaining language. Truth be told, so do I.
ReplyDeleteThe trees and leaves there are gorgeous Sara! Girl, I'm just getting back to NOLA and have a list a mile long. Plus, I'm getting renovations soon.I've been busy everyday. So I feel you! Love your outfit. The colors are so pretty.

When you've got an inflatable turkey what else can possibly matter.
ReplyDeleteHell yes! A giant inflatable turkey sounds like the best possible November decoration ever. Good luck working on that chair rail and the painting this weekend too!
ReplyDeleteAlso I love how cozy and cute this outfit is. The cardigan looks so comfortable I understand how you don't want to give it back. I'm loving the pretty fall colors in these pictures too!
