Eats: Cinnamon Butter Cream Frosting
8:52 AM
More fall eats! This frosting recipe is super easy, and I feel really lazy for posting this, because it is honestly just this recipe with cinnamon added to it. I like this one more because I am a cinnamon fiend.
Get
3 cups confectioners sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
2-3 tsp whipping cream
1-2 tsp cinnamon (to taste)
Mix together butter and sugar, then the rest of the ingredients. Mix well for about three minutes, or until everything is smooth.
I made this twice in the past two months for two different birthday parties. The first time I made fall-themed confetti cake, and in these pictures I made it with pumpkin cake. I liked both, and all of the cupcakes were eaten both times, so I think it is safe to say that people liked the frosting. Mmm, frosting.

So weird fact about me...I don't like cake, but I love frosting. Especially butter and/or cream cheese frosting. This sounds so delicious!! It would be good to dip graham crackers in to. (Is that gross?) (Don't care if it is.)
ReplyDeleteYES! I made a similar frosting for some pumpkin spice cupcakes I made earlier this fall and it was amazing. SO amazing. I might make gingersnap cupcakes and use the same frosting for that. YUM.
ReplyDeleteNow THAT is a nice twist! I don't think I've ever had that kind of icing Sara. Yummmmm!

ReplyDeleteFrosting is my weakness. I don't even need cake {or cupcakes} - just frosting!

Kris decided to tell me he 'doesn't really like cinnamon' the other day. Like, what the fuck?! I think I need to file for a hypothetical divorce.
ReplyDeleteI had all these great cinnamon related recipes that I wanted to try! Like this buttercream!
Talk nerdy to me.
