Eats: Cream Cheese Frosting
11:01 AMCupcakes! Are cupcakes still all the rage and whatnot right now? I had originally planned on baking a cake to take over to a dinner party this past weekend, but went with cupcakes instead. Just easier to divide up at the end of the night and all that jazz. Sorry/not sorry for the overabundance of cupcake pics.
Anywho. I have yet to master cupcake batter, the one attempt I made resulted in them exploding all over the oven. So, I just used a boxed mix. And lots of sprinkles.
Get
4 ounces unsalted butter (vegan butter works too), softened.
4 ounces cream cheese, softened.
1 tsp vanilla extract
In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese and butter until it is well mixed. Add the powdered sugar a cup at a time until it is smooth and creamy. Add the vanilla, mix, and you are good to go. Owls are optional, but, they look pretty sweet.

Ooh, these are too cute! I have a weakness for cream cheese frosting - I can literally eat it by the spoonful out of the container! :P
