Sibling Adventures

This week I took Liam to the store with me, because you are supposed to put little brothers to work, duh, and it was an ordeal. We went to my usual place, Holiday Market in Royal Oak. The place is kinda pricey on most things, but they have the best produce, and I am pretty good at making sure I spend less than $50 per week on groceries So anywho, Liam had never been, and upon entering the store, he was a bit taken aback by the olive-bar (he thought they were free snacks), and then proceeded to try to sneak a free coffee sample.
We were moseying along, like you do, when suddenly we heard Christmas carols. Not surprising, given the time of year, but then they got louder and we turned to face a group of teenagers walking through the store caroling. Yep. They also seemed to be following us, and I am pretty sure I made a record-breaking trip through the store.
Later at the check-out, I was loading up the loot on the conveyor belt when Liam exclaimed "What the?" and points to the magazines on display. There were about four or five fashion magazines with scantly-clad actresses on the cover. So I looked at Liam and said; "What did you learn about cover-girls?" and his response was: "They apparently hate to wear clothes?"
I blog these things, because no one is ever around to see these things happen, and they never believe me. This is real-life people.

ROFL!! "They apparently hate to wear clothes." OMG that is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI went to the grocery store yesterday and the Salvation Army bell ringer was singing carols to her heart's content. She was actually pretty good.
Your little bro is so funny! Your such a fun sister to take him out and about with you!
ReplyDeleteThey are observant so early in life. In a few years he'll notice such magazines in a new way, and that must make you go, "NOOOOOOOOOOO Not my brother!". . . I grew up with two older brothers and that is all they seemed to like looking at when I would go to stores with them. :: sigh ::
ReplyDeleteYou are a great older sister by the way. It must be nice having younger siblings.
