Poise and Passion

I never thought I would be one to post editorials on my blog, but with a BA in English, having actually read Anna Karenina, and then finally getting a chance to see the movie this past weekend, I couldn't help it. These images from the October issue of Vogue capture all of the haunting beauty of Anna Karenina, exactly how I mentally created her while reading.
Side note: I wish I could be tired of Keira Knightly in time-pieces, but when you are good at something, you are what you are. These are her signature roles, and although I did not picture her specific face in the novel, she couldn't be anyone else in these images. Keira Knightly, FTW!

I have to tell you, that I'm honored you read my stories with a BA in English. I just got turned down for an MFA in creative writing so I don't think my stuff is for 'smart folks'.

And I totally want to wear these!
Argh I wanna see the movie so badly! I am way too lazy to read the book though. And Keira is the QUEEN of the period piece. x
ReplyDeleteI have yet to watch the movie but Keira is just so damn good an actress! I love this editorial, too! Have you seen A Dangerous Method?
ReplyDeleteThese are so beautiful. She is really made for these period pieces. I'm still not sure if I want to see the movie.
ReplyDeleteSo excited about this movie! Love the post!
ReplyDeleteSweet costumes. Really, she is amazing in these pics.

ReplyDeletetold myself I would read a Tolstoy this year so chose AK. I'm about 600 pages in and had to take a little break to read a lite murder mystery! ha. Also told myself I would not watch the movie until I finished the book but am excited to see it. Just gotta read, read, read! I do like the 6th pic, she looks beautiful but a little wary.
ReplyDeleteTalk nerdy to me.
