Once and Again
10:30 AM
Here I am taking outfit photos near all the garbage in the backyard again, yay. Me thinks Kyle and I should just spend a day burning a bunch of this wood. Because burning wood smells good, do you know what does not smell good burning? mint. It smells like skunk weed, don't burn it.
Although I have not mastered the art of taking decent close-ups myself, I have found that this is the best spot in the yard to take photos. I even get to play a game of taking photos very quickly so my neighbor can't come outside and asking me what in the hell I am doing. We have been here for almost two years now, I don't think he is going to buy that I am in a photography class still. Explaining that I run a personal style blog would work, except most people get that deer-in-the-headlights look on their face. I like clothes, so I take pictures of them, with myself in them. Hard concept, I know, I know.

You crack me up. I'll note it about the burning mint, lol.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors in your scarf and the dress is super adorable! And I am pretty sure my neighbors stare at me through their windows and are like "what the heck?" Oh well.
You are too funny! hahaha I hate nosy neighbors. Love your backdrop and who would've thought MINT would smell bad. LOL Cute dress and I love your coat.

I get you. It's so hard to explain to the neighbors about what we really do online. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why people always feel the need to ask what bloggers are doing while they're taking photos. Why is it their business??? One time I had an old guy come up and ask if I wanted him to take pictures for me. Uhhhh no. :|
ReplyDeleteOh, we need some wood burning here..Its cold!
ReplyDeleteLove your scarf!
Nothing like being by the wood pile!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT!

ReplyDeleteoh those awkward neighbor moments. i'm sure you'll come up with something. i am in love with that cardigan. as a city girl the wood looks quite beautiful to me and i wouldn't consider it garbage. the smell of wood sure does smell good. things thing are quite novel for me and i get really excited about fireplaces, bon fires and camp fires.
ReplyDeleteTalk nerdy to me.
