Well, well here I am, sporting the overall shorts at Tahquanmenon Falls, aka the "Root Beer" falls. We spent most of our time at the lower falls, it was probably my favorite part of the trip. The weather was amazing on this day, as you can see all the beautiful sunshine. I actually got yelled at by an old lady for climbing over the railing to take this pictures, but I could not resist getting a little closer to the falls! We actually found quite a few places to walk into the water, there were kids swimming in the falls too.

We ended up taking a paddle boat out to the island that is surrounded by the lower falls, something we had not done before on our previous trips so it was really nice to do something different. Dan and Brian took turns rowing the boat as Kyle and I just sat on our butts taking pictures and telling them where to row to.  I honestly want to live by a lake and get a row boat, they are so cool! I know that we can rent them at the metro parks by our house so Kyle and I want to do that this fall, it would be pretty on the lake with all of the leaves changing colors. It was already becoming fall in the UP, the leaves were all red and gold. A few brown ones have been spotted in Oak Park, but soon I will be sipping cider outside and looking at the foliage.

I think what made me choose the overall shorts was the recent hype over rompers. I own 2-3 rompers and I love them, but during a thrifting trip I came across these and I thought, why not? Kyle loved them, probably because they are so short, haha. But he honestly liked these outfit pictures the best from the trip. I am not sure if this outfit was my favorite, but it was perfect for a day of strolling around the park.  I had another outfit based around these shorts, but it was too cold the other days I planned on wearing them. Oh well, I guess there is always next summer.

I know this post was really photo-heavy, but how could I not include so many amazing photos? The scenery, the outfits, and of course, all the goofy pics of the guys. One of the best vacations ever.

    Your overalls are so cute!!! I also think it's the perfect outfit for your trip!

    Is it weird that if I lived near a lake like this one I'd bring out my laptop and blog outside? Hahah that was the first thing I thought of.

    Thanks for sharing the lovely photos! Because I'm weird, I could almost hear the water:D and...I almost thought we have the same shades from F21, but maybe a different color. :)

    Your outfit is so sweet, I absolutely love it. This looks like such a fun day. The waterfalls look incredible, so beautiful and definitely some of the best pictures I've ever seen. The incident with the old lady just made me laugh.
