Royal Oak Garage Sale7:23 PM
I already did a post on this for Motor City blog and tweeted it so some of you may have seen these photos but I took so many that day that I wanted to do a post of my own for this blog as well. There are some funny ones that I didn't post on the MCB too so hopefully this won't be too much of a bore to some of you. For those of you who don't know, the Royal Oak Garage sale is pretty cool. It is essentially a giant parking garage full of vendors selling all kinds of random goods. Some are local shops, some are just random people, but there is always a variety to pick through.
It was really hot that day as you might be able to tell, haha. Kyle and I ran into his twin brother Brian and their Mom almost as soon as we got in the entrance to we just shopped around together. We were supposed to go to Ikea that day but as soon as we found out about the garage sale we changed plans (this weekend for sure!). So the plan was to get some things for the house...we got one picture frame! Haha, we did end up getting some really cool stuff like some coats and hats, movies, some T-shirts (I got a child's size Detroit Cobra shirt that I can't wait to show off) and I got a Harry Potter game for my gameboy advance, 'cuz I am cool like that. Everything we bought was pretty cheap considering some of the other prices, and it only cost $2 to get in.
It was seriously hard trying not to buy all of the Star Wars collectibles. There were so many! I really wanted this sign but it was way out of my price range.
After we headed out for some food and tried a new place downtown called Burgerz, it was really good. I had a veggie-burger, 'cuz I am still trying to eat healthy and all that jazz. After, we headed out to Gasoline alley, a dive bar downtown and had a drink to cool off. It was so funny seeing all of these drunk people out, it was only 7:00 at night and there were all kinds of people trashed! We headed out after our one and went home. It was a pretty exhausting, hot day and we also went to karaoke that night! We are going to Ikea for sure this weekend, and doing some stuff around the house. I seriously want to just fall over I am so tired! This summer has been pretty packed, and next weekend looks crazy. So much for an easy-breasy Summer huh? haha.
