Good Times
8:57 AM
I am filing an extension. I had a summer reading list, a weight-loss goal, several to-do and project lists that I started out with at the beginning of Summer that have since been neglected. On top of that I am behind at homework already. How? Classes just friggin' started! Well I blame the cold I have had for the past two weeks. I know everyone says it, but being sick is not fun. Who actually thinks being sick is fun? Maybe some kids in grade or middle school that are happy to be out of class and watching TV instead, but still. I have decided to stick with these goals. I have no deadlines for them. I am not sure if this is a good or a bad thing but it is going to get done. Here is the new list:
1) Homework comes first. No more glancing through the Ikea catalog for 45 minutes and then realizing it's 1am. Do homework before going out with friends, before painting my toenails, and yes, before even blogging *sad face*.
2) Finish Summer reading list. I didn't actually make a list of books, but they are the small stack next to my dresser. Reading is one of my passions and I never do it anymore. I would like to get in at least one book a week, but I am not going to push it.
3) Be healthy. I literally have been the pizza queen for about a month. I need to just eat healthy and avoid so much fast food. And eventually be able to post when I hit my goal.
4) Keep it clean. I am a freak that cannot do a single thing unless my apartment is clean. I cannot focus on the page in front of me unless all the clutter around me is put away. So the idea is to spend a few hours on the weekend cleaning up bigger things and just trying to put things back after I use them on an everyday basis.
5) Cook at least one meal. Kyle and I have completely opposite schedules right now. The only time we have together is all day Saturday and Sunday night. I figure I can stock up on healthy soups and whatnot for during the week and also make one giant meal so we can snack on leftovers all week as well. (More time to study, read and blog, woot!).
6) Me time and friend time. Saturday nights and Sunday morning is my designated friend time and I think I am going to try to squeeze in a little time on Fridays for me. Reading, trimming my hair, plotting to take over the world, whatever. Although what usually happens is I do laundry, because no one else uses the laundry room on a Friday night because they have lives. :P
I guess that is all for now. Oh and be ready for a review of Hurley coming up soon :) I figure music reviews every once in awhile might be fun.
Oh by the way, here is an outfit :P This is a really cute crop top that I am borrowing from the lovely Chloe. I really like tucking in crop tops sometimes because I like the shape it creates. A little, loose, a little casual, I am also sporting a vintage necklace and ring that were both my Grannie's. I rarely wear nice jewelry because I lose them, but luckily I have held onto this guy.

ReplyDeletexo you have a new follower :]
Cute shorts!
ReplyDeleteI really relate to this list. I've been treating myself horribly this past week. Forgetting to eat veggies, forgetting to eat period, until I feel light headed. Being constantly dehydrated. Going to bed at 3am. I can only blame so much of this on jet leg, the rest is just me needing to kick my ass into shape. I'm feeling more regulated today, but still it will be tough to make sure I don't let the pub culture take over.
Homework totally gets in the way of life, agreed? :P
ReplyDeleteNo, but seriously, I think it's good that you are trying to prioritize. It can be so obnoxious to do so, but it really helps to organize your life. :)
How sweet, the outfit.
ReplyDeleteIts so on going and tough to get in the grind and making the most of a new schedule. Being sick, just makes it worse for those weight goals to be considered. But I think stocking up on healthy soups is a winner and well, being there for you is always a good idea. Wishing you all the best.
Hey, I really like all your outfits
ReplyDeletethat tee is so so nice
and your pants too
♥ Marley
Oh I really like your shorts!!!!
ReplyDeleteBalancing demands in life is hard but possible. You seem on the right track by examining the issue and prioritizing. I'm glad you're including your health because maintaining that enables you to tackle other activities. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI dunno how you do it. Love the outfit.
ReplyDeletelovely outfit nice shorts
ReplyDeletei'm soo bad at making those kind of lists i never keep a promise or i forget
ps are you going to detroit fashion week?
Oh my gosh, I am totally with you on the being healthy part. I was supposed to start 2 weeks ago. :/
ReplyDeleteYou own some really great shorts, btw.
I want those tights and shorts..oh, you do so much..and I'm proud of you. & you really are a role model too...to many of us.
ReplyDeleteSweet outfit. So dressy. Yeah, the list just keeps growing. All the best on staying healthy. I know you will.
ReplyDeleteI think, when you have a super busy schedule, the best thing you can do for yourself is set aside sometime for you and the people you care about. I am trying to do something similar right now, and I just feel better and calmer about everything. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI like the list you made. I need a clean place to work and live in too. I like the previous post on Nationality!
ReplyDeleteCute outfit, especially those shorts and shoes! Good luck with your list of goals! Haha I know I've had this same list for years and years and haven't accomplished very much. Sometimes making lists are easier than actually accomplishing them...but I know you can do it if you put your mind to it!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cool outfit. Love your tights. Oh, its an uphill battle. I do the bare essentials sometimes..I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteOh, so much to do. I know. Stay healthy, and stay sweet you.

I hope you get all your things done on your list. :) Loving this outfit. That top is really nice. :)SarahD
ReplyDeleteim dying over those shorts. they are perfection. you look awesome here!
ReplyDeletei hope that you can achieve all your goals, you will be so happy when you do! my advice is to write down (in order) the things you want to accomplish in your day and check them off one by one. checking them off makes me want to move to the next thing in order to check it off too!!
the top looks great on you, hope you like it! I like tucking crop tops in too, they kind of just sit nicely that way.
ReplyDeleteHope you get over your cold soon :)
looooove this outfit!
ReplyDeleteI can completely relate to your long to-do list. The school year only just started and I'm behind on mine as well!

ReplyDeleteI just did a cool photo-shoot of shorts and tights which I'll put up in a few days. It wouldn't have happened without your influence.
