Last Friday I started the Jillian Micheals 30 day shred because I was craving something different and a few of my friends were doing it. Meg is doing rather well and is the one who convinced me to give it a go. I had been doing a 60 minute ballet DVD in the mornings for the past 2 weeks, 20 minutes > 60 minutes any day! However, I think the only way I survived the first few days of the shred is because of those ballet workouts.
The first day of the shred got me sweating, but it wasn't too bad. Then I woke up the next day and I am pretty sure that my limbs quit my body. I just completed day 5 and either I am getting better, or am starting to block out pain expertly. Also, I am a freak who likes to work out before work. I don't get it, I hate getting up early, but I would rather just get the workout over with. Bonus: releasing endorphins before work helps me actually do work instead of plotting evil things against my coworkers.
In other news: I cooked a lot over the weekend, but most importantly taught myself how to make strawberry jam! I don't even like jelly/jam that much, unless it is homemade (I have high maintenance taste buds). So yeah, look forward to lots of foodie posts and whatnot.
