Eats: Crock Pot Pot Roast
10:30 AMMost people who know me, know that I really am not a big meat-eater. However, I do love me some pot-roast. Comfort foods ftw! I thought I would try my hand at making it in the crock-pot because I made this on a weeknight and wanted it to be done by the time I got home. The crock-pot is by far the sexiest thing in my kitchen, I am in love with it.
Get
Roast (mine was 1.5 pounds)
Onion
3 carrots
3 red potatoes
Water
Bullion cubes
Salt
Pepper
Paprika
Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp olive oil
SO, I didn't have any cream-of-mushroom soup or any of that. I decided to make a rub for the roast with all of the seasonings listed above, as well as the olive oil. I used about a 1/2 teaspoon of each, and just coated the whole thing. You may want to use more, depending on the size of your roast. Then I put the roast in the crock-pot, and then added water until it covered the roast. I added two bouillon cubes, the chopped and peeled veggies, and set it on slow-cook for 9 hours. It came out amazing. I want to eat this every day.
