Back in late 2009, before I started posting outfit photos on this here blog, I found myself in great need of warm, cozy sweaters. Coincidentally, this was right around my birthday and come October 20th Kyle presented me with two amazing gifts; a record player, and this sweater.
I fell in love with it immediately, but I always seem to have a hard time styling it. The giant cowl-neck makes it look very 70’s, and its thickness makes it impossible to tuck into anything without creating awkward lumps. So throwing it over a light summer dress it is, I win.
Also, didn’t Kyle take some great outfit photos this time around? He didn’t cut-out my feet, stand at an angle, making me look like I have a giant head, or zoom-in on the giant bags under my eyes. I think he likes me, I should marry him or something...

Beautiful pics, I love the way all your grays are highlighted by the wood. That's a great sweater, not very 70s at all (trust me, I had actual cowl necks in the 70s). I'm also diggin' those boot socks.
ReplyDeleteYes, marry the photographer! lol
You look lovely. :) Yes, DO marry him! ;)
ReplyDeleteSara, your head is not big. I have a HUGE head! hahaha What a great gift! I love your sweater and it looks awesome on you. Cowl neck is always in :) It's the perfect weight and not too chunky, plus the color is fab. LOOKS charming with your summer wear :) I think it would look great with trouser pants too. Nice styling!

Yes, Kyle did a grand job with these photos! You look lovely in the grey sweater. It is good that Kyle buys things for you for your birthday. My husband has never been a gift buying person at all, which is terrible. . .so I got nothing from him for my birthday last Saturday, but that is okay. He shows he loves me very very much in all the other ways. I hope you use your record player lots and lts that you got for that birthday! Your skirt is so cute with the sweater!
