Victorian Lit
8:12 PM
This would mark the third time I have worn this dress on the blog, however, it has always been layered so I have not been able to show it off properly. This dress was a graduation present to myself, it is called "The Victorian Lit dress", and it's from Modcloth. As an English major, I had too. I am pretty much on a shopping ban for awhile, at least until I hit some of my goals and I can buy more clothes as a reward system. I have sooo many projects that I want to just get into and I have been on a cooking spree. The house is becoming more and more organized as the days go by, and I finally came up with a good training plan for that 10k I want to run in June. I even have a friend who is happy to run with me (although I am still trying to sucker Kyle into it). I am hoping to start training tomorrow as I have not been to the gym yet this year, I just need to be motivated after work. Although, with the weather we've been having I could probably just run outside and be fine. My goal is to do well in the 10k in June so that I can also run the Turkey Trot next Thanksgiving before the parade in Detroit. I get to run down Woodward, dressed like a turkey, every girl's dream!
Sorry about the disheveled hair and wrinkled dress. I am pretty sure these were taken after a night of drinking a few weekends ago. I had forgotten about these photos as I had uploaded photos of french toast with them, and it was delicious french toast so you can see how these would get lost in the shuffle ;)

This is a really cute outfit! I'm such a sucker of leather jackets paired with dresses.
ReplyDeleteAh! I feel like I have so much to say.
I think your goal for running a 10K is amazing! I still don't have the courage to actually do that, i'm just trying to keep sane with hitting the gym everyday...ok, not EVERY day just 4 times a week.
I know you stuck with your early morning routine for a while, but it's a no-go in the new year?? It is hard to get up that early and the secret is to get to bed at a decent time which is almost impossible!
I hope you find the right schedule that works for you though. Good luck with your training!
you so cute sara i just love that dress! one of my goal is to work out more!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your 10k way to go to start training early. I love this dres! I was a lit major too! I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned it but your smile is so infectious. You know how certain people's laughs makes you laugh. You smile does that.
ReplyDeleteSo love your hat with this! Good luck with the training! Those red tights are amazing!

This dress is so incredibly adorable on you, Sara! And I absolutely love the way you've styled it with berry tights. :)
ReplyDeleteHa, now I'M tempted to buy the dress because of the name! It's adorable on you, and I love how it looks with those red tights :)
ReplyDeleteThis dress is so pretty, the lacy details are great. Good luck with the 10k! I am not a runner so the idea of that sort of thing makes me gag. But I'm sure you'll be fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI love the dress! I have just started running again. I am moving away soon, and I need some exercise i can do until I find classes I like.
ReplyDeleteThat was my major subject way back in college. And yey! I'm so happy you get to run 10k! I've been sidelined with running but I've been trying to get back on track. For some reason, I'm hooked into it and I am so crazy with the weight loss. I no longer think it's healthy cause I keep wanting to lose more. Gosh. Didn't think of running to be fit, though. It was just the benefit. Wow. Long comment, almost a blog entry.
ReplyDeleteJust have fun. :)
Talk nerdy to me.
