Halloween Recap!
6:27 PM
My third and final Halloween costume of 2011, a cat! Kyle borrowed my glasses and suspenders and went as a nerd, and Jamie went as a New Orleans girl. Saturday we headed out to Luna in Royal Oak for the Halloween bash and it was soooo much fun! We sipped cheapo drinks & danced, but the best part was the people-watching. There were so many awesome costumes, a group went as the game Monopoly, there was Rafiki from the Lion King, but the best was Rufio from the movie Hook. My friend Ricky from work showed up with his lady-friend but the line was huge so we left and headed to Ye Olde Saloon, where we ran into Jay and Silent Bob. I literally had soooo much fun this Halloween season, I love October!
For the actual day of Halloween, Kyle had classes all day and I worked, but then we came home and got all dolled up to pass out candy! Okay, I might have gone to work in the cat ears, tail & makeup, hehe. We watched The Nightmare Before Christmas and half of Coraline and munched on candy and sipped cider. The neighbors hooked up a sound-system and made it so animal noises were coming from the bushes, it was really funny watching Louie go crazy. Two of my brothers came by to say hi and steal candy, and the neighbors chatted us up for a bit. Kyle roasted pumpkin seeds too, some sweet ones with Cinnamon and some salty ones, mmm! It was the perfect first Halloween at our new home and I loved every minute.

Your halloween sounded so much fun! I didn't do much this halloween, which I kind of regret. The Philippines isn't really so into the whole trick or treat thing, but there are parties. I was invited to one but was way to lazy to go. Next time I'm going to try and make it a little special, that way I can say I actually had at least one great halloween :D.
ReplyDeleteI loved your cat costume! I would go to work with the cat ears too! We were walking around in devils horns but that was a day after, which was still okay I think :D
