Martin Road Park
8:05 PM
I had originally worn this outfit over two weeks ago but somehow managed to lose/delete the pics I took, so I donned the outfit again this Saturday to get a delicious lunch with Kyle at Christine's Cuisine in Ferndale and to make a quick thrifting trip at Value World in Warren. I got so many cute things to show off, lots of vintage and summery things! This dress I acquired from Mod Cloth during their Cabin Fever sale. Kyle picked it out actually, he really likes orange so it shouldn't have surprised me. I stole his big grandpa cardigan to keep warm because it's cold in the D!
These pictures were taken at Martin road park in Ferndale. I used to play soccer here almost every Saturday in the Spring and Fall growing up. I still have team photos of us girls all lined up in the park before a game. Soccer was so much fun growing up because it was for the city and it was a chance to meet different girls from different schools in your area. By the time we got to high school, I knew most of the girls on my team and we were pretty close-knit. I grumbled through practices, but I do really miss playing soccer sometimes.
Right now I am smelling the delicious tomato bisque soup that is in the crock-pot and impatiently waiting for Kyle to get home. I am going to make some grilled-cheese to go with it and it is still really cold outside so soup sounds perfect right now. As much as I love Winter, I admit that I am ready for some slightly warmer weather, at least in the 40's or so. But I am secretly glad that I get to indulge in comfort foods while it is still cold outside, yum!

ReplyDeleteI'm in love with that outfit. The cardigan is a nice touch. :) I've never been to the Value World in Warren. Didn't think there was one. I go to the one in OP. The men & bag section are my best friends.
Love the dress! I also got one at the Cabin Fever sale that I need to debut!

ReplyDeleteYou look lovely, as usual. And that meal sounds so yummy.
ReplyDeleteIt was freezing here today, so I wish both you and us some warmer weather.
Aww, man! You lost the pictures I took of you? :'( That means you also lost the pictures of me sticking my butt out at you while that guy was walking past your backyard, giving us a look that said he was contemplating calling the cops!

ReplyDeleteHi Sara! How cute that Kyle picked out the dress for that! I love it when I hear boyfriends do that sort of thing for their girlfriends...so romantic and sweet! And I'm a big fan of tomato soup..Yum! xoxoxoo
ReplyDeleteI love the pattern on that dress, your man has some good taste!
ReplyDeleteyum tomato bisque! recipe please? I need to get my hands on a crock pot. Whenever I need to slowcook something I ended up disastrously burning the bottom of the pot and it takes like 35mn to scrub the burnt parts off haha
Such a cool collar to it..the dress. Oh, I hope the soup was good. I love tomato soup.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet photo shoot. Great location. ummm...tomato soup.
ReplyDeleteThat dress rocks! Hope you are having a good week.
ReplyDeleteI so love this dress. A great one from Mod Cloth.
ReplyDeleteSucker Punch is depressing. In spite of all the great special effects. I still thought Emily Browning did great. Hopefully, she gets more movies that are more of a Juno Temple art house kind of find. (they are close friends). I still think there is that 'best' movie she hasn't made yet.
Ah, I so love your grandpa sweater - it is the cutest thing EVER; and so perfect for a brisk day!! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, you look so pretty! I love that dress and cardigan :)
