Hey everyone! I am alive and well, but behind on just about everything in my life. Good time to ignore the important stuff and write a blog post, correct? Yes, good. 

What have I been doing for the past week? Aside from getting my ass kicked at work, I have been testing my introverted limits by way of spending time with friends, and copious amounts of alcohol. I am pretty sure that I need to banish myself from a certain bar in Ferndale for a little bit on account of yaking two bartenders ears off. But, this is a big thing! I am slowly becoming more comfortable talking to strangers. I am convinced that I won't make this a regular habit, and it seems that alcohol is the deciding factor of whether or not to talk to random people, or sit in the corner hating life. 

ANYWAY, enough talk about booze. Lets discuss my new tattoo! Early xmas gift, FTW! I chose these lyrics from the song "Smile", from The Green Album  by Weezer. "Smile" isn't my favorite Weezer song, The Green Album isn't my favorite Weezer album, but it was my first Weezer album. I just love the simplicity of these lyrics, the simplicity of the script that Kyle from Signature Tattoo  (seriously Michigan peoples, THE BEST place to get a tattoo!) came up with, and how well it goes with my Michigan/heart tattoo. I am beyond ecstatic!

As promised, my tattoo! It is in the healing process, so it is peeling and all that, sexy, I know. I love it so much though! I went to Signature tattoo in Ferndale, and everyone was super nice and helpful. I am very picky about tattoos. I wanted my Weezer one (on my wrist, though it can't be seen in these photos) for several years before I finally got it, and this one I have wanted for almost two. The little heart is actually purple, it will be lighter once it peels and all that jazz. I *think* I am getting two more, and then I am done. I would like one on my side, and one on my shoulder. One of them my friend Mariah is going to design for me (bloody talented artist friends), and I am really stoked about it because it will be even more personal. 

Kyle on the other hand is super jealous of this one, and now wants one but does not want to match me. Typical Sideburns. 

Anyone out there have/want/like body art?

Dan has the batman symbol tattooed on his arm and although it looks a tiny bit faded, there is no denying what that symbol is for.
