That Time Of Year
10:30 AM
I am not entirely sure what decade this outfit belongs in. At first, it seems 80's, but I am kinda leaning more late 70's. Maybe it's the pea-coat? The floral collar? Either way, I just noticed that there are little mint-green splatters on the crotch of these jeans. Go me.
Turkey Day is next week already, and I am running the Detroit Turkey Trot before the parade that morning. I am really excited, because this is something that I have always wanted to do. It is a 10k, however, it is also a fun-run, so I am really looking forward to it. Another thing I really want to do next year is participate in this Friendsgiving business. We had a "Thanksgiving Super/Puppy Bowl" party last year, and it was a lot of fun. I am really enjoying the fact that as I am getting older, I am more fond of dinner parties, and gatherings where my friends can bring their kids.
I am actually really looking forward to ALL of the holiday activities: tree lightings, watching cheesy movies, going ice skating, even shopping/making gifts for people. THINGS, I like to do them!
What is everyone up to this time of year? :)

I like this casual outfit! I'm not sure what decade I would say either. Awesome about the Turkey Trot! I am planning to do the Turkey 5K Fun Run next year when I'm not withchild. It sounds so fun.

I love this time of year. I can't wait until the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade next week. I look forward to it all year. I also love drinking cider and eating pumpkin pie with my family. This season is so cozy and comforting.
ReplyDeletei much prefer dinner parties and game nights to out on the town nights. you look great, btw...look how tiny you are!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! Goodness, do I love a deep, ruby worthy red like that against the soft, serene greys and whites of winter. There are few colours I reach for myself more often once the snow starts falling than red, for that very reason.

ReplyDeleteLet me tell you Sara! Peacoats are ALWAYS in girl! I have one in my closet. It's a staple. Love your sweater and hat. Good luck in the run. Sounds awesome. I know you're going to have a great time. I'm totally in holiday mode! I'm playing Christmas music already. I'll be doing a little bit of everything this holiday season.

I LOVE this outfit, Sara! It looks so warm and cozy. I wish I could wear knit hats but they do incredibly bizarre things to my bangs. :P

i really love your outfit so simple and warm! i love your hat. you now what I was just thinking the same thing. oh man i can't wait for the thanksgiving ( which is next week... what?) and christmas!!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the outfit! I wish I was able to pull off half the stuff you are able to. You have a gift, my dear! That's amazing about the turkey trot! I love to run but my knees seriously hate me every time i do go for one. We'll be going to a friend's house for Thanksgiving. That's the sad part about living 3000 miles away from your family :(
