Give Peach A Chance
10:30 AM
Weekend Wins: Detroit Underdog named a hotdog after me! The "Sara-h's Cream Cheese Popper Dog", it was amazing! We had our first garage/yard sale. PUMPKIN SPICE LATTES. We started watching Black Books, and OMG, hilarious! Lots of take-out and TV.
Weekend Fails: We stayed up waaaaay too late Friday night, resulting in feeling like death for said garage sale. Around 1:30, it started raining, so the sale ended. We also missed Dally in the Ally (cool little festival in Detroit), because we decided to take a 2 hour nap in the middle of the day and then became too groggy to leave the house. Also, we are 80 years old now.
Some other sad/awesome news: Kyle's grandma is in the hospital. She took a nasty fall this weekend, and is pretty sore. We thought she would be going home yesterday, but they decided to keep her for more tests. It looks like she should be going home today or tomorrow, she is okay, but she needs to rest up. Especially since we are celebrating her 94th birthday this week! So awesome.
Friday on the way to work I spotted a very sick puppy on the side of the road. I stopped to look at him, and his eyes were all cloudy and he was all skin and bones. Kyle's mom Debbie gave me the number for the Michigan Anti-Cruelty society, and they came and picked him up. I was really not sure if the little guy would make it, but Debbie called yesterday and there were two small puppies with eye issues still being treated, so he is hanging in there! I was told to call tomorrow for an update, and I will.
So yes, eventful weekend was eventful, and it looks like another busy week ahead. Wake me up when September ends? (I had to do it).

Yes! Great pun, cute shirt. And coincidentally I had peach pie for dinner last nigh -- and also a slice for breakfast this morning.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the ill stray. I hope he makes it.
Ok one - I love your shirt. Two - your weekend sounds awesome, Black Books is another one of my favorite British shows! I adore Manny! And Three - I'm glad you called about the stray and I hope he makes it!

Love this weekend outfit! Yeah! For Black Books!
ReplyDeleteI saw Worlds End over the weekend! I think you'd like it.
ReplyDeleteLOVE. LOVE this skirt!!
I'm so sorry to hear about his grandmother! Sending positive juju her way! Your t-shirt is too darn cute! Love the little outfit you put together! I was so excited for pumpkin spice lattes but what happened? LA decided to have a freggin gnarly heat wave that we're still trying to escape so pumpkin spice coffee didn't sound appealing. Insert sad face. Oh, and thanks to you I have that damn song stuck in my head! :) Here's to hoping your week isn't too hectic!

Your top is too sweet! Best wishes for Kyle's grandmother. I truly hope the little puppy is ok too. Good on you for helping, I just love people who care for care for animals!
ReplyDeleteYou totally rock that shirt, Sara. I love that you paired it with a maxi - it makes it feel glamorous. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's too cute! I'm sorry about Kyle's grandma.
ReplyDeleteHow's Kyle's grandmother doing? 94 is amazing. My great-grandmother died at 90 (she was born in 1900 and died on my 7th birthday). It is a blessing to be able to live that long!
ReplyDeleteI hope she's improved a lot.
This shirt is so funny and cute! I'm allergic to peaches though. :: cries ::
