Here we are with the first version of my updated hair, I now have super-short bangs. This was intentional, mostly because I grew tired of searching frantically for the hair-scissors every single time my bangs start to block my vision. I also went through two rounds of bleaching to update the color, which you will hopefully see in the next post. I love cutting my own hair for two reasons: I let my ego become ginormous when it comes out looking bad-ass, and also because if it looks like shit I can’t get mad that I spent a lot of money on it. Win-Win.

As I am the queen of DIY hair, whether awesome or mediocre, I am also the queen of many things. Shoes for instance, as soon as I get the perfect collection of flats, boots, heels, and mocs, I then become the queen of destroying them. There are not many detail shots of my shoes after I own them for a month, because I am so rough on them and they look like garbage. These woven flats for instance, are no longer woven as much as held together by bits of fabric. I am also the queen of accumulating awesome dresses, and then forgetting that I own them, ahem. Add to this list: Queen of tired-face, inhaling coffee, losing only important items, taking on too many projects, finding new TV shows to obsess over, hating Nickelback, loving Weezer, and breaking my car. Yes, I know, I RULE. Did you see what I did there? ;)

    Love the bangs..I know you could definitely do pixie. Yet, I think a drastic cut would be too much of change to get used..especially, with the big day ..not so far..away.

    Yes, I'm the DIY of my hair. Usually, I got nuts in the winter and cut it all off myself. I dunno what comes over me.

    Ha...Oh....No....not for me at least. You look lovely....when I try to cut my hair...shit gets real...shit gets real...really fast. I loved cutting stuff since I was a kid and my mom would through fits, they finally had to hide all the scissors from my fat 3 year old hands (that found them pretty much everywhere). As an adult I thought scissors and I would mix again...it just proved...mamma's always right.

    Ha, love your rationale for cutting your own bangs! I used to do my own but then I thought 'oh, a hairdresser could do then better' ... but I was wrong and now my life sucks.

    I am jealous with your short fringe. You are rocking them. I had mine cut shorter than the usual and I loooked horrible. I don't cut my own bangs too and I decided to sport it side swept.
