Guess what I dragged out of storage again? My bike! I love love love my bike. I bought it at Target two years ago, when Kyle accidentally smashed my bike when we went camping (It was on the back of the car, he then backed the car into a tree). My old bike was a purple ten-speed that I loved. I had it since I was...ten. So, I broke down and got this one! It is sooo an old lady bike, I even have the poofy butt seat because I am like an old person and have to be comfortable when I am riding my bike. I bought the bell and the purple tassels on a whim, but I think that it is great. I called Kyle yesterday at work and I asked him if we could take the bikes out and he agreed. I had to walk Louie before we went so he wouldn't go crazy, but it was a blast. Bike rides on hot Summer nights are so underrated.  

I managed to get a pic of Kyle and his bike, but he was not really in a picture mood. I told him to just make a strange face and this is what I got. The things this boy does for me lol. I know he really wanted to just sit on the couch and chill out, but he even admitted that the bike ride made him feel great. I am hoping we can take them out to Stoney Creek  (a great metro park here in MI) sometime soon, that would be great.


I wore a simple outfit too, just to have more focus on the bike, and I wound up matching it lol. I am surprised that I have not named my bike yet. I am sort of thinking of Stella. I think Stella would be a pretty awesome name for the bike, with tassels like that, she's got to be a girl! Also, Stella was my Great Grandmother's name. I however, called her "Busia". So guys, what is your bike like?

    I like how you put the tassels and the bell on your bike. Perhaps a little basket for the front? That would just make it over-the-top cute.

    cool name..oh, you do need a basket. maybe. but I'd get distracted if I had one, probably. How cool..just so muggy here, I don't want to do anything. I did get a bike at a garage sale, similar to that..but it needs a new seat. I like the name for the bike.

    Stella is a great bike name. I'm not much of a bike person after I broke some of my teeth biking. I wish I could enjoy it as much as I used to. Summer evening bike rides were the best.

    bikes really are usefull in the summer time and yours looks so cute, its kind of old and retro but modern at the time, i like it a lot ;)

    That bike is cute! Don't worry about it being "granny"; Granny is in! Plus comfort > coolness with stuff like bikes. I think Stella is an adorable name.

    SO cute! I love biking (though I don't do it very often. And the last time I did my friend turned it into a workout!) And you look so adorable for biking. It's okay the bike I had since I was ten was stolen right from the garage of the beach house I was staying at!
    Hmm my bike currently is a mountain bike, but there is a bike I'd like to call my own. It was my mom's in the seventies and my dad and brother cleaned it up last summer. I'm dying to ride it, but my mom refuses!

    Cute outfit. I love going for bike rides on weekends as well. Love it- light pink bike and even has a basket in front. :-)

    Yay for bikes! When I move to the city I really want to get an oldschool looking baby with a basket for all my little grocery trips *sigh* If only helmets weren't so ugleh. I ALWAYS wear mine but it does take away the romanticness of it doesn't it? :D
