Little Bits: Roller Coaster

10:32 PM

I am bummed that the long weekend is already over, but I am soooo ready for September to start, so many things, guys. We started out the weekend by riding in Critical Mass on Friday night, which was a really beautiful night. That is until Kyle got a flat, and we did not have his spare tube on us. Thankfully, one of the LDR guys saw us and offered to help. 45 minutes later, they managed to patch Kyle's tube enough for us to get back to the car. Next time we bring extra tubes, and patch kits. Or, Kyle rides his mountain bike. Lesson learned.

After, we headed up to B. Nektar Meadery in Ferndale for some yummy mead with our friends Nicole and Stephen. Stephen was just hired there, which is perfect for him because he lives close by and already loves the place. I can't wait to go back, yum!

Saturday I spent most of the day cleaning (again), and decided it was a good idea to re-arrange heavy furniture and create a blog-studio area in the bedroom. I have everything all set up now, and it is a small space that I will be also using for sewing projects in the future, but I really like how it came out! I will take pics and do a post soon.

Saturday night we went and saw "Lets be cops" with our friends Dan, and Mariah, and it was really good! After, we headed out to Joe Cool's to get some food and a beer. It was a great time, and it was good to finally get out to a movie.

Sunday, Kyle and I went to Cedar Point! Kyle's brother Brian won some free tickets, and they had to be used by Labor Day, so we went! At first I wasn't too excited, because Cedar Point tends to be super crowded, and it was supposed to rain. The weather held out, and we got to ride a bunch of rides, even two of the newer ones! Cedar Point was where I bought that key chain (above) for Kyle, which encouraged him to ask me out 13 years ago, so even if the place can be packed at times, it does hold some great memories. I definitely want to go back next summer.

Monday was a crappy day, due to the fact that we had gotten very little sleep the night before. We had left Louie, and Joseph at my parent's house for the day on Sunday, and when we picked them up that night, my dad said that Joseph had puked three times. Kyle noticed when we got in the car that he looked really bloated, so we ended up taking him to the emergency vet. He had just gotten into a bunch of dog food, and had to puke the rest up. An hour or so later and he was home, and feeling much better.

I spent the rest of the day running errands, setting up my blog studio-getting the shelves up was a pain, and baking stuff despite the heat and gross humidity.

I am so ready for fall weather, but it looks like it will be another week away, boo! In the meantime, I am just going to keep drinking my iced pumpkin spice lattes and pretend.

  4. Oh..what fun times with friends. Oh..hopefully, Joseph learned a lesson..but I doubt it. It is interesting how people feed animals differently too. Or so in my family.

Hope you have a good week.
