Pizza! Pizza!

Kyle and I have odd schedules. I tend to get up two hours before him, which leads to us having different eating schedules. For breakfast, I tend to just make seconds of whatever I am eating and leave it out for him. I pack salads/soups, and usually sunchips & fruit for lunch for myself, while Kyle destroys the left-overs. For dinner, I tend to make/pick something up, and eat pretty early, around 5-5:30pm. Kyle, if he does not work nights, will usually just re-heat whatever is left. So fascinating, I know!

However, ever since I started babysitting Liam after work, he tends to get hungry whenever I eat. Sometimes he will just have a snack, but often times he wants dinner. Because everything I cook tends to be spicy as all hell, I usually just heat up a frozen pizza for him, or some soup. Then one day in the grocery store, I decided that we should just try making personal pizzas. A lot cheaper, and a lot more healthier.

Louie agrees.

Things I have learned during this experiment:
-Having Liam make/help cook food, makes him more likely to eat it (he even ate veggie cheese when that was all I had in the house).
-It gives him something to do so that he is not yapping my ear off.
-Because he made it, he will eat more of it, and often asks to take the rest home. So less waste = awesome.
-Liam will sometimes ask to make one for Kyle to take for lunch. Which is kind of adorable.
-When he is done, he will clean up on his own! Liam is not bad at cleaning up after himself, I just usually have to remind him. But for some reason whenever he helps, he tends to clean up automatically. Again, awesome!
-Louie would like to participate in the eating portion of this activity.

  5. Love the new lay-out of your blog and I haven't been here for quite some time now. Haha! The pizza looks so YUMMY!!!!

My least favorite part in making food is the clean-up part. But I hate a dirty kitchen so I still end up cleaning it.
