Films: Vertigo

5:30 PM

Back when this blog was known by a different name, I had a small obsession with Hitchcock. I am pretty sure that was all I did-watched Hitchcock movies and then blogged about it. For some strange reason, I thought that I had seen this movie before, but after my friends turned it on while over last weekend, turns out I was mistaken.

John "Scottie" Ferguson is a retired San Francisco who suffers from acrophobia, who finds himself investigating the behaviors of his friend's much younger wife. It does not take long before he becomes dangerously obsessed with her, before slowly realizing that the recent events in his life might not be as they seem.

Mystery! Romance! Thriller! AND, JIMMY STEWART! I think I might make it a personal goal to watch all of Jimmy Stewart's movies. However, it was nice to have another visit with Hitchcock.

  3. Oh..one of Hitchcock's best. He does bring out the best in Jimmy..and of course, Kim.

Its interesting..seeing an older film like this..and its pace compared to the pace of movies today.

    Great review!
