A Plethora of Pine

I finally went and bought a pair of mittens like a proper Michigander! Don't be fooled by the snow in these photos, these were taken in Clarkston Michigan on Sunday, and I am pretty sure it is all gone already, boo!

Anywho, it is apparent we bought our Christmas tree this weekend. What started out as an awesome day with a hot breakfast at Hilton Road Cafe, She & Him Christmas album playing in the car, and the discovery of the perfect tree, quickly turned stressful. Mariah refers to us as a two-person circus at times, which is exactly what we are. After spending a half-hour getting the tree on the roof of my shitty car, one of the fancy tie-downs broke ten minutes on the freeway back to the house. Kyle then had to re-tie the tree on the side of I-75, and somehow managed to tie it around my door so I could not get out, and we had to hold the rope inside of the car to prevent the tree from sliding around. SO MUCH WORK.

Our house smells like pine, and its awesome. The tree looks really beautiful-even without the Tardis string lights we wanted to buy. If we didn't drive out to BFE to get our tree, then Kyle would not have taken this pictures for me with all of the pine trees, and I would not have a picture of him holding the tree up while making the sand-people noise. Definition of true love right there: Christmastree. Sand-people. Noises.

  2. We have a fake tree - but actually talked last night about possibly going and getting a real one instead. I've never had a real one and kind of want one!

We had some snow here too and it's mostly gone as well. I kind of want more.

  7. Snow hasn't hit my area yet. I am super excited for it though! I have busted out my nice gloves though. It has been pretty windy, which makes it even colder.

Your outfit is super cute, by the way.

  9. Me so jealous! In my country, we don't have real pine trees. Just the plastic ones and my goodness, there's a need for us to decorate for the Holidays!
