Little Bits: Tiny Honeymoon

9:44 AM

The very first day after the wedding, Kyle and I basically just slept in really late, spent a day walking around town with Louie, and watching TV. I tried to clean the house a little during the week (it honestly STILL has not recovered) while Kyle did homework for his classes, but I ended up with strep throat. I dragged my ass to the doctor, and by Friday morning was feeling a lot better.

Kyle and I decided to drop everything and head out to Paint Creek Trails in Rochester, MI. We parked by the cider mill so we could reward ourselves with cider & doughnuts, muwhaha! We actually ended up walking about nine miles, and wore the crap out of Louie. It was really nice being out with Kyle, and it is the only “honeymoon” type-thing we actually did whilst on vacation. We are actually planning on taking a real trip somewhere in the spring, after Kyle is done with winter semester. I am really hoping to do something like this at least once a month with Kyle, just spend a day alone talking about everything from future plans to TV (Kyle really likes Grimm). Trips like this also means that I will instagram more than just what I am currently eating, but let’s be honest, I will probably never stop doing that.

1) Paint Creek Trails, Rochester MI 2) Kyle & Louie 3) Myself & Louie 4) Some of the awesome colors on the trail. 5) I made a friend, a cute garden snake 6) Some appropriate graffiti 7) Hike-wear on a cool October day.

  3. This is a really wonderful day to have, so it's good if you can do it once a month. Tell Kyle I watch Grimm too. That garden snake would have freaked me out though.
