A Pleated Autumn

I am trying my best to take pictures near all of the beautiful autumn leaves this fall because they are pretty and it takes the focus off the blurry photos-or so I hope. I think this has to be one of my favorite outfits as of late, probably because I was scrambling around for something to wear and this is what was clean. The photos are slightly blurry because I broke the lens on the camera back in July, and Kyle swiped it for the lens on his film camera. Apparently that one isn’t in the greatest shape either, but kit lenses are just like that from what I hear. Any excuse for something not being my fault for breaking, I’ll take it.

In less destructive news, I am trying my hardest to embrace the last of my favorite season. Normally I would argue that I have the entire month of November to still enjoy pumpkin flavored everything, jump in leaves, maybe even go on a hay-ride, but Christmas is creeping its way in. Both Ferndale and Royal Oak have Christmas lights up already, and ABC Family is advertising 25 Days of Christmas. I choose to ignore this and will continue to watch Hocus Pocus as many times as I like. I can’t wait to dress up and pass out candy to the kiddies, I even bought a costume for Louie. It sounds evil as hell, but just wait until I take a good pic of him, muwahaha! Halloween FTW!

  1. Very cute and feminine dress. In my opinion, Christmas celebration shouldn't start until after Halloween.

  2. Such a cute outfit! It's very pretty! The leaves in the background are nice too! Sadly the last of ours are blowing away in the wind, rain and snow we're getting today. Yes I said snow. Sad.

  5. can you send in your lens to get fixed? I had to send my camera in to get fixed a couple of years ago because it stopped focusing completely and it was such a sad thing indeed. You posted this dress before, no? I love it. You can post it as often as possible!!! So pretty!

  10. Seriously, you rock the short hair so well.

I used to dress Davey up all the time as a pup. One year we got him a skunk outfit. He hated it & ripped it off & used it as a toy. He'll do that to anything I put on him now. No more doggy sweaters.

  12. I think you did a wonderful job of catching the autumn leaves, blurry or not :). Southern Georgia's leaves have yet to turn just yet, poo! But some around our yard have turned so I guess that counts ;).

  13. Now that I'm officially jobless, I really want to save up on those 50mm lenses. I'm happier now, guess that Alanis song applies. I'm broke but I'm happy.

We sort of celebrate Halloween here but the kids go trick or treating at the mall if not, kids who live in exclusive subdivisions and all. I want to go trick or treating myself. I sort of want the free candies. LOL!

You look so mod and chic! Love the pleats on your dress, too.
