Threads: Star Wars

11:53 AM

So as I am still recovering from the worst sinus infection known to man, I thought I would share another mini Polyore creation. Star Wars! I may have to do a part two to this, since I only created three sets. How would you guys like this to be a weekly feature? I really like making them.

Leia & Han
First up we have female looks for Lei & Han. I always loved Lei’s clothing in Star Wars, she wore the perfect clothing for battle, simple & badass. Awesome vest, kick-ass boots and you are good to go! Her formal wear is just as simple, lots of light, drapey gowns. She makes it fancy with her always intriguing hair styles. Don’t forget the gold bikini!

Han’s look is very simple and rugged. Get some awesome leggings that have leather patches on them for a futuristic feel. A simple, button-up tunic, with a little vest/shrug for texture. Finish up with a utility belt, and your best scoundrel face.
Padme

Queen Amidala/Padme brought glamour to the first three episodes…and was probably the only reason I watched them. I love me some Natalie Portman, she’s so cute! Anywho, for her more regal looks, long, elegant dresses in gold, blue and red are key. Pair with a cape, or a fancy shawl, if no cape is around. Don’t forget to do something crazy with your hair, braids and buns were Lei’s specialty, so you will have to figure out how to make your head the center of attention in every room. When you are rocking the Padme look, all white & fitted is the way to go.

Star Wars Fangirl

For the simple fan-girl, I recommend channeling your favorite Droid, Wookie or Ewok. Get some gold leggings & pair with your favorite gold top. Wear a cape & furry boots! Or just buy a really cool tshirt.

  1. have you ever been to teefury.com at all?? Every day they post new nerdy shirts for $10. Rob has 3 of their shirts and the one I bought from their site is a Star Wars tee of Leia and Han based off of Gustav Klimt's The Kiss painting. I loveeee it. They post a lot of star wars shirts from time to time. This week they posted one of R2-D2's head looking like the Death Star. It was great. I didn't buy it though.

  6. I had 2 sinus infections in this month! What is going on with us, Sara? haha In all fairness, I went on antibiotics for the first one and the day after they finished I went out dancing (and err, drinking...quite a bit) and because the medicaiton is processed through your liver, I basically undid it. I saline spray'ed the rest of it out, but I never thought my major March problem would be breathing! haha Hope we both feel better finally!

  9. I second the TeeFury site. There's also shirtpunch and riptapparel that have geeky shirts. I have gotten so many geeky shirts there. I had to put a stop to it because it was starting to become draining on the wallet. Although I really want to get this Hunger Games inspired shirt http://www.nowherebad.com/. :P

You should do a Hunger Games threads post next. I watched the movie today and absolutely loved it. I want to dress up as Effie for Halloween this year.
