Turkey Dogs

Wow you can really tell how tired I am in these photos, but it has been a whirl-wind the past two weeks or so. I am sitting here with Louie, thinking of all of the things that I need to get done, term paper, house cleaning, put up Christmas decorations, figure out why the cable isn't working but the internet is...and instead I am blogging. I am so far behind on this blog it is crazy. I have so many half-started posts that I have no idea what I had planned next so I thought I would just work my way backwards, starting with my Turkey Day recap!

My brother David is on leave from the Marines, but he did not make it in until midnight Wednesday night. My dad picked him up and dropped him off at our place around 1am and the guys, Mariah and Mark were all over drinking beer and BSing all night. We ended up watching Star Wars and not getting to bed until 4:30am. Needless to say, we missed the parade. I was quite bummed, so was Kyle but we made up for it by getting bagels and camping out on the couch watching "Grumpy Old Men" because we couldn't find our copy of "Pieces of April" (a great Thanksgiving Day movie).  We finally got out of the house to eat dinner and visit with family before heading out to see the Muppets movie (which was awesome!!). It was a pleasantly exhausting holiday this year, which is perfect.

Oh and this happened:

Louie thinking he is a lap-dog and sitting on me on the ride over to my parents house. The bottom two are pics of Pepper, my Mom and Dad's dog. They are soooo cute!

I hope everyone had a great Turkey Day! I know I am thankful for so much in my life, Kyle, my friends, Louie & the kitties, my crazy family, the fact that my mom makes the best holiday meals, and all of the amazing and great times over the past few weeks. Oh, and pie.

  1. My dog Juno was about the same size as Louie and he, too, thought he was a lap-dog. As much as I enjoyed him on me, there were times when his weight left me breathless. Oh, but I cherish those memories, as I hope you are doing now.

And, btw, I never tire of looking at your pretty face. Do you have room in your family for a sister?
