Little Bits: Oddities

9:48 PM

Today was such a glorious sleepy day. It was gloomy but in a good way, it finally cooled off in the mitten  and after a long day pulling weeds and cleaning up the yard yesterday, I welcomed the cool grey day. We still have a lot of yard work to do and I am hoping to have it done by the end of the week and hopefully that means more pics for you guys, woot. In the meantime, here are some photos from the past few weeks that I thought I would share with you guys. I love finding random things to take photos of. Sometimes they are pretty cheesy, but it is still fun to take pics of miscellaneous things and see if they come out okay later on when I upload them onto flicker.

Simba Kitty! Haha, I always hold up our cats like this, like Simba from the Lion King. Barry at least puts up with it.

Yesterdays breakfast: Dairy-free Banana Jiffy muffins made with coconut milk & honey. Fresh pineapple and strawberries, yum.

View from my seat at the kitchen table. I have had this old rickety fan ever since I have had my own room. I kind of stole it when I moved out a long time ago and it has been helping us keep cool ever since. Kyle pulled this giant squash from the garden last week, it is HUGE.

This is a random driveway by the Speedway near our house. I love how dirty and gross it is but these beautiful flowers hanging over the wall are so pretty! I think this maybe a great place for some outfit photos.

Proof that I occasionally take photos too, but Kyle is the one with the photography skills.

  1. I hold my cats like that all the time, I wonder how many cats have been held that way with The Lion King in mind?

  18. I must have the recipe to these banana jiffy muffins! :D Have you posted them before or was that another delish sounding thing I saved into Craig's favourites? Now I'm on my computer and hungry. Googling it didn't even work!

I love your last photo. Craig took the exact same shot whilst in PNG earlier this year; it stars his siblings in the background.

And now I've commented entirely about this new boy of mine and how this post (ok, most things) reminds me of the little things he does, it seems entirely appropriate that I let you know we both giggled at the realisation that the kitty photo looks like it contains the silhouette of a kitty doodle :D Bahaha. Okay. Maybe not appropriate. It's 2am.

    love you x
