Teddy Bear Picnic

11:32 AM

Teddy bear picnic
If you go down to the woods today
You're sure of a big surprise.

If you go down to the woods today
You'd better go in disguise.

For ev'ry bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain, because
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic.
Ev'ry teddy bear who's been good
Is sure of a treat today.
There's lots of marvelous things to eat
And wonderful games to play.
Beneath the trees where nobody sees
They'll hide and seek as long as they please
Cause that's the way the teddy bears have their picnic.

If you go down to the woods today
You'd better not go alone.
It's lovely down in the woods today
But safer to stay at home.

For ev'ry bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain, because
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic.
Picnic time for teddy bears
The little teddy bears are having a lovely time today
Watch them, catch them unawares
And see them picnic on their holiday.
See them gaily gad about
They love to play and shout;
They never have any care;

At six o'clock their mummies and daddies,
Will take them home to bed,

Because they're tired little teddy bears.

I mentioned in yesterday's post that Saturday Kyle and I took Louie for walk in Birmingham, here are some more pics from the day. I managed to sneak the camera away to take some of the pics as well. Kyle did take all the ones that are not blurry :P It was a lot of fun.

Where the sidewalk ends.

The rest of the recap: I am officially done with school until September! I was supposed to go out Friday but after walking Louie, I crashed. At 8:30pm and then slept in Saturday morning until we left on our walk. We made a stop at the Salvation army and I bought a few things that I will hopefully be able to wear this week. Saturday night we grabbed some food with Kyle's brother and his girlfriend, then shot some pool before heading in a little early. We wound up watching some episodes of Gilmore Girls on DVD.

Sunday I basically cleaned up the apartment-only to realize that there is a lot more spring cleaning than I thought there was going to be. So that is just going to continue all week for the most part. Sunday night we went to dinner with Kyle's family, and then we watched "Tropic Thunder" again, that movie is so funny. We also got some Krispy Kreme :)  **A few co-workers and I are going to start weighing ourselves at work on Fridays, to kind of support each other with losing weight. I am not sure how well I am going to be doing since I have been eating like crap the past two weeks, but now that school is out, I hope that will change.

  1. Ohmigosh I SO love you for posting Teddy Bear Picnic. I swear that is the nursery rhyme/poem/song that made me obsessed with picnics - I even have stickers from when I was in second grade that show teddy bears having a picnic!

Anyway...yayay! Congratulations for being done with school until September - that is fabulous news! And totally don't get obsessed with the numbers on the scale - it's not the numbers that count...it's how you feel! Plus, no one should be faulted for indulging in Krispy Kreme! :)

  7. The teddy bear picnic reminds me of when I was 8 years old and took ballet. We had a "big" show that year, and our ballet dance was to that and we had furry arms and legs to wear, I had a yellow polka dot tutu, and a bear mask. Watching old videos of it is pretty freaking cute.

Also--GG is pretty much what I have done for the past four weeks while Ravi's been on tour whenever I'm feeling blue. It's just so good!!
