Girls Night In GR

5:08 PM

A few weeks ago, the lovely Katie of Tinda Keelie informed me of a fashion show in Grand Rapids MI, that Tieka of Selective Potential posted on her blog. Sure enough, when I went to look, she had posted about the 5th annual Kendal Fashion show. So what do I do? I call up my bestie Jamie and tell her all about it. She agrees that it would be pretty fun so I bought tickets from Tieka, put in a request to only work a half-day yesterday, and viola! instant girls night.

I have never driven to Grand Rapids before, and I had only been there once (to help someone move) so I was a little worried that we would get lost. We actually did okay until we got in the city, all the one-ways made it a little confusing but we managed to park and get out safely. We were earlier than everyone else so we decided to explore the area a little, the show was at the Brass works building but we had originally parked down the street where we saw some cool stuff.

The frog was too cute to pass up.

 It's called the Bull's head.......with a rhino on it.

We stopped for a drink.

Across from the building that the show was at, was a small park so we decided to check it out.

So cool!

Of course the day cannot be complete without some outfit pics:

We finally headed inside for the show and there were all these little stickers laying around for people to write on. They then posted them all over the walls.

The show was great. There was an auction going on, the fashion show, people painted gold standing on the stage in different poses throughout the show, and of course a ton of models. There was also an after party that we really wanted to stay for but our drive was pretty far and Jamie had to work in the morning. I loved the show, and we decided that next time we would get a room to crash in after so we could stay longer. But I am also very glad to have been able to have the chance to meet some awesome bloggers. Tieka from  Selective Potential, Andrea from blonde bedhead, and of course Katie from Tinda Keelie who told me about the show. A perfect girls night :)
